Both Hunter.io and Findymail let you enrich leads with email addresses, but discover what makes them different.
Hunter.io is mainly geared towards email finding. With Findymail, finding emails is only part of the story. Use our AI lead finder to find leads, enrich them with phone numbers and enrich your CRM.
On Hunter.io you use 1 credit on all emails "found" even if they're not safe to use or haven't been validated. On Findymail, you only use a credit for valid emails, safe to use immediately.
Hunter.io only lets you query a static database of leads which means that if your target audience doesn't fit perfectly in a checkbox, you're out of luck. On Findymail you can build hyper targeted lead lists from plain English, leveraging our AI-powered lead search.

Here are some more of the reasons salespeople have shared for why they’ve chosen Findymail over Hunter.io to find their emails.
Findymail tends to find more valid emails than Hunter.io on the same lead list. Quite simple, but often a key performance difference.
On Hunter.io you're buying credits, not valid emails. You can spend 1,000 credits and only have 500 actually usable emails in your outreach, which makes it a frustrating experience for some users. On Findymail, people appreciate that 1 credit = 1 valid, safe to use email.
The number one reason people cite for loving Findymail? Our customer service. We’re always here to help with real people offering support, 7 days a week.
People often raise the limited data Hunter.io has to offer on their lead database. On the contrary Findymail performs real-time website search, ensuring high coverage and up-to-date data when searching for leads.

Great question! We obviously think we’re pretty great, but here’s an honest answer:
Both platforms allow you to find emails based on name+website or from a list of domains.
Hunter.io is an OG email finder platform, so you will be in good hands regardless of your choice.
In such comparisons, we try to be as fair as possible. Hunter.io is a great tool but if I'm honest I haven't found a feature where they outperform Findymail.
The key difference seems to be that Hunter.io has an email sequencer included where Findymail is solely focusing on data enrichment.
That specialization likely explains why Findymail can outperform Hunter.io on email finding, but it means you need another tool to send emails when using Findymail. In general, we at Findymail recommend building your stack with multiple tools, each best-in-class in their respective domain, rather than a all-in-one solution doing an average job at everything.
That may or may not be important for you. If you're just starting out and prefer a simple, all-in-one solution to get started rather than the tech stack with the best performance, Hunter.io is likely a good fit.
But if you're looking for the best performing email finder, Findymail will likely be a better pick ;)
